Travel To, From & Around the Triad

There are 3 main airports that serve the Triad:

In Greensboro there's the Piedmont Triad International Airport. With a moderate number of direct flights,
it's a convenient choice when traveling to major, or larger regional cities. Airports in Raleigh & Charlotte
are only 90 mins. away, and offer a full schedule of direct and connecting flights to a broader range
of destinations. Smith-Reynolds Airport in Winston-Salem also posts a limited schedule of flights.
Amtrak offers train service via terminals in Greensboro, High Point, Winston-Salem & Burlington.
The Piedmont Authority for Regional Transportation (PART) offers bus service in & between Triad cities.

Of course, in the South, we always enjoy a good road trip, so get a map and get out and explore!

And if your choice is a 'greener' mode of local travel…check out these guides to the many trails
available for hiking or biking. It's a great way to explore the area!
